FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

Conyers, GA - May 6, 2022 - Reach Worldwide, a faith-based organization, is collaborating with CVS Health and Excel Church in Conyers, GA, to present a Night of Education, "Secure The Mind: A Conversation on Mental Wellness." This life-changing event will take place on Friday, May 13, 2022, at 7pm EST.

With May being Mental Health Awareness Month, this event is creating an opportunity to shed some light and education on this topic. Mental Health has become an increasingly imperative topic because statistics show that teens and young adults have been suffering in silence at staggering rates. According to the National Alliance on Mental Illness, 1 in 6 adolescents aged 12 - 17, experience depressive episodes, 3 million had serious thoughts of suicide. Suicide is the 2nd leading cause of death for people ages 10 - 34. There has been a 31% increase in mental health related emergency department visits.

The goal of the evening is to educate and empower youth, young adults, and parents on mental health awareness. Remove the stigma of talking about mental health challenges. Provide resources for those who are struggling with their mental health.

A Night of Education, "Secure The Mind: A Conversation on Mental Wellness" will be hosted live at Excel Church. 1151 Flat Shoals Rd. Conyers, GA 30013. Ten additional churches across the country are inviting their youth groups and parents to a watch party to stream this live event.
